Gary Grant is off the football team for failing to "live up to the expectations or standards that are set for an NC State football player," according to Tom O'Brien. One thing you can always count on from TOB's program is the good ol' surprise dismissal announcement. We didn't need those stinkin' APR points anyway.
Grant was listed as David Amerson's backup all season but didn't played a snap on defense in either of the first two games. As a result of this, the Rashard Smith wide receiver experiment is over--Smith will slide into Grant's old spot on the depth chart.
