Good news, everyone. Relatively speaking, anyway. Lorenzo Brown is not expected to miss more than a month after undergoing surgery Tuesday to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee.
Brown is expected to miss two to four weeks of summer workouts, but his playing status for the Wolfpack's exhibition tour of Spain in August remains questionable.
"My understanding is that surgery went well," said head coach Mark Gottfried. "The injury was limited to the meniscus. This is temporary setback for Lorenzo. We will be conservative with what we do with Lorenzo moving forward."
So, fortunately, this appears to be just a minor setback for Brown. The trip to Spain is about six weeks from now, so it wouldn't surprise me if they were extra careful and just kept him out of those games. Which would be fine by me.
