Five-Star 2013 PG Anthony Barber Commits To NC State

Five-star point guard Anthony Barber committed to NC State during his official visit this weekend. This is a huge get for Mark Gottfried an his staff, as Barber is considered one of the top 10 or 15 prospects in the class of 2013.

"His speed is electric, and he makes it even tougher to deal with because he changes gears and has tremendous body control," said Rivals.com recruiting analyst Eric Bossi in a past evaluation. "When he's shooting with confidence - particularly 12- to 17-foot pull-ups - there just aren't any high school guards who can stay in front of him."

State still has a lot of work to do in filling out the 2013 class, but this is a great start. Assuming Lorenzo Brown leaves following this season, the Pack will have a backcourt composed of Tyler Lewis, Rodney Purvis, Ralston Turner, and Barber. That's pretty solid.
