UNC announced Wednesday that guard Leslie McDonald has been suspended for the team's next three games, which obviously includes the Wolfpack's game against the Heels on Saturday night. McDonald had already missed three games this year because of a knee injury.
Leslie McDonald will not dress during the next three games due to academic reasons. Will be out for GT, NCSU and Boston College. #UNC

Roy Williams: "Leslie did not do what we expect of our student-athletes and therefore is not going to play in the next three games."

So what does this mean for NC State? It gives the Pack one fewer three-point shooter to guard, which is nice. Anytime we are given less of anything to guard, it's obviously a good thing. McDonald is 25-58 (43.1%) from beyond the arc this year. That's pretty much the, extent of his game, though. He's never shot above 40% from two in his career.
Reggie Bullock has been brilliant from three (47.7%), but P.J. Hairston (33%) is the only other player on the team shooting better than 30% from deep.
