Brock Deatherage Commits to play Rounders

Former UNC commit joins the Light Side of the Force. I knew there was still good in him.

USA TODAY Sports

The Twitterverse has confirmed that Brock Deatherage, a two-sport speedster out of Western Alamance, has withdrawn his commitment to play baseball for the Tar Heels and given it instead to NC State. Deatherage committed verbally to UNC almost a year ago, but according to an article in the Tar Heel Times he decommitted three days ago. Today, Deatherage tweeted his commitment to the Pack, much to the consternation of many lower-level football programs which had been recruiting his rumored 4.2 speed to play defensive back. According to Perfect Game USA, Deatherage plays outfield.
