Pack gets Morehead

Three days after adding commitment number five, #Pack15 added its sixth member in safety Jarius Morehead. Morehead jumped on the opportunity when it became clear the Pack's offer still stood.

After previously deciding to only take one safety in the 2015 class, the NC State coaching staff changed their mind this week and reinforced their earlier offer to Eastern Guilford athlete Jarius Morehead. The consensus three star then set up a visit for Saturday where he committed to Dave Doeren in person.

He eventually got the name right, don’t worry.

Morehead had early offers from the likes of Clemson, North Carolina, Tennessee, Wake Forest, and a few smaller schools, but it is not known how many of those were still on the table. However, being able to add a safety to complement the physical Freddie Phillips in the class is a plus. Morehead was seen as a receiver early on because of his size and speed, but should be an ideal fit at free safety with his current 5’11" 190 lbs frame.

Morehead is the sixth member of the class, all of which are currently consensus three stars. Morehead could be the type who turns into a recruiter, and he is good friends with running back target Reggie Gallaspy from nearby Southern Guilford.
