The Wolfpack added to both their win total and commitment total while in Florida this past weekend with the commitment of T.J. McCoy. Dave Doeren and Co. continue to strengthen the offensive line through recruiting.

Somewhat lost in the excitement of NC State’s big 49-17 win in Tampa against South Florida was the commitment of offensive lineman T.J. McCoy. McCoy capped off an all-around good weekend in the state of Florida, as he is from nearby Groveland, Florida.

The son of former University of Florida and NFL offensive lineman Tony McCoy measures in at 6’2” 320 lbs and appears destined to play center at the next level. The Wolfpack are currently only planning on taking one interior lineman for 2015, so McCoy will be an important recruit in this cycle.

McCoy earned his offer after a strong camp performance over the season and selected the Wolfpack over offers from Rutgers and South Florida. The 247 Sports Composite three star ranks as the number 17 center in the country per the same website. McCoy is the 11th commitment in the class, which expects to reach a number around 18.
