With some big-name visitors in town for the 42-0 win over Presbyterian on Saturday, Pack fans were hoping a commitment would come as a result of the weekend. It came from an unlikely source in Sculthorpe, but it is a pickup that should excite fans come Signing Day 2016.
Sculthorpe camped at NC State twice during the summer, which is how Dave Doeren's staff has unearthed some key contributors in this year's freshman class. After camping around the state of North Carolina, Sculthorpe picked up offers from the Pack as well as ECU. After winning the state wrestling title at the 3-A level as a sophomore, the heavyweight draws comparisons to NFL lineman J.R. Sweezy.

This addition likely wraps up the recruiting for interior linemen for the 2016 cycle and gets State off to a quicker recruiting start than they have seen in recent years.
