The 2nd Annual #goacc Tournament of Champions: Elite Eight

The best of the best (worst?) have been selected after a rigorous process by the selection committee. Now it's up to you to help determine the #goacc champion of the season.

We're down to eight of the finest #goacc entries from the past season, and man did we have some massive upsets in the Sweet Sixteen. Our first number one seed went down, and a certain upstart #7 seed continues to obliterate it's competition. Want to thank y'all again for the fantastic participation, it's awesome seeing everyone embrace the #goacc. Alright, enough talk. Y'all have some regional finals to decide!

With 156 out of the 255 total votes, this #1 seed easily dispatched PJ Hairston and his egregious flop, moving on to a dream one versus two matchup in the Boeheim regional. The #2 seed here won 133-122 (also receiving 255 votes), so it's obviously a lot more vulnerable here. While I suspect this regional final will be a close matchup, I like the one seed to advance here.

This Regional Final is obviously the most shocking of the remaining entries. I mean, never in my wildest dreams did I actually think Jameis Winston stealing crab legs would get defeated by the Technician's hilarious headline. Not only did it get defeated, it got blow out, 138-109 out of the 247 votes it received. Gracious. Did not see that coming. The #7 seed here won by a slightly less margin, winning 132-112 out of 245 total votes, but it was still a surprising result nonetheless, beating that massive bill Duke sent UNC. Both of these entries seem to have a ton of momentum here, which one will have enough to move on to the #goacc Final Four?

The "Knowlige is power" continued its reign of terror in the #goacc Tournament of Champions by obliterating Wake's backup QB's no good, very bad day by a tally of 190-51 out of 241 total votes. Lawd. And I thought Kentucky beat WVU badly. Meanwhile, BeeJay Anya's act of compassion towards Karl Hess obliterated Buzz Williams' Hammertime, by a talley of 152-89 out of 241 possible votes. Something has to give here, right? It's hard to doubt against Knowlige, but come on....will this really defeat this #1 seed?

Another dream matchup occurred here in the Beamer Regional Final, with Frank's 0-0 celebration taking on Winston's hilarious fall in the Rose Bowl against Oregon. Frank, in his Sweet Sixteen matchup won 181-57 in a rout over his Virginia Tech basketball brethren, and their inability to tell when a team is shooting a one and one. Jameis, though his proficiency for crab legs was ultimately defeated, his slip against Oregon won in a blowout over that GT-NC State sequence, 154-80 out of 234 total votes. I gotta think Frank is going to advance here again in a blowout...there's just no way this Kentucky esque #1 seed doesn't advance to the Final Four.
