The #goacc Moment of the Week (5/27/2015)

The weekly in-depth look at the best (worst?) moments in ACC schadenfreude.

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

Apologies for being a day late, the long weekend threw off my entire schedule - but that's no excuse, because #goacc waits for nobody y'all. And boy, do we have a insane set of entries for y'all to vote on today. Don't think we'll see quite the blowout that we saw last week, when the Pitt Softball team's masterful Pac Man performance won in an absolute rout. No, I think y'all will have to take some time on deciding a winner this week. As always, we close with some deep thoughts from our good friend Jim Ross. Enough talk - it's time to vote. Which is your #goacc Moment of the Week? Vote below!

1. Russell Wilson remains a walking Darren Rovell #brandbot (h/t @bart_smith).

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Man, that Russell Wilson never does stop being Russell Wilson. <a href="http://t.co/tiHEOlFGsC">pic.twitter.com/tiHEOlFGsC</a></p>&mdash; bart (@bart_smith) <a href="https://twitter.com/bart_smith/status/603272021687050240">May 26, 2015</a></blockquote>

This right here is the kind of garbage some insufferable person like Rovell would eat up. Lord. Have to say Austin Johnson put it best today on Twitter:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Hot take: If Russell Wilson didn&#39;t go to NC State I would find him insufferable</p>&mdash; Austin Johnson (@austin_johnson) <a href="https://twitter.com/austin_johnson/status/603288479372595200">May 26, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Couldn't agree more. Love Wilson and everything he did for NC State, but gracious, this persona is annoying. Maybe he's just setting us all up for a massive heel turn.

2. Someone made a "Fifty Shades of Brey" parody video and now I want to wash my eyes with bleach (h/t @CBTonNBC).

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">50 Shades of … Brey? (VIDEO) <a href="http://t.co/sJeAbnKbaj">http://t.co/sJeAbnKbaj</a></p>&mdash; CollegeBasketbllTalk (@CBTonNBC) <a href="https://twitter.com/CBTonNBC/status/602917942125199360">May 25, 2015</a></blockquote>

I dunno who took the time to make this, but whyyyyyyyyy did you do that??

3. Georgia Tech may want to double check this statement (h/t @marcweiszer).

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">So is this a thing now? <a href="http://t.co/KHuz8i2wpq">pic.twitter.com/KHuz8i2wpq</a></p>&mdash; Marc Weiszer (@marcweiszer) <a href="https://twitter.com/marcweiszer/status/602598396197756930">May 24, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Yeah...um...about the only thing you run in that state is massively overpaying basketball coaches. But, :kermit: :tea:

4. Is this the worst hockey jersey ever created? (h/t @PopsTwitTar).

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Double Nope. <a href="http://t.co/AL7LHDflbu">pic.twitter.com/AL7LHDflbu</a></p>&mdash; Rick Nashtag  (@PopsTwitTar) <a href="https://twitter.com/PopsTwitTar/status/602617837035753472">May 24, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Hey #FSUTwitter, get it together. This is laughably terrible.

5. That crazy infield fly sequence in the ACC Championship game.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/goacc?src=hash">#goacc</a> in the infield! <a href="https://t.co/R0898FH09p">https://t.co/R0898FH09p</a></p>&mdash; Will Thompson (@thrillis4) <a href="https://twitter.com/thrillis4/status/602539304884273152">May 24, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

What's funny about this is that FSU's coach argued that the infield fly should've been applied, which ended up costing them a run. Unfortunately it really was moot because State couldn't score much more after that sequence, but in the heat of the moment, this was about as #goacc as it gets.

6. The NC State "Wolpack" (h/t @WROncsu).

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="und" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/goacc?src=hash">#goacc</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/GoWolpack?src=hash">#GoWolpack</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/BackingThePack">@BackingThePack</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/NCStateBaseball">@NCStateBaseball</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/PackPride">@PackPride</a> <a href="http://t.co/1rEt6RucKe">pic.twitter.com/1rEt6RucKe</a></p>&mdash; Bill O&#39;Donnell (@WROncsu) <a href="https://twitter.com/WROncsu/status/601478497698238464">May 21, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Honestly, how does this crap keep happening? PROOFREAD Y'ALL!

7. Can someone check to make sure these UNC fans are actually alive? (h/t @rwwilmington).

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/lebrownlow">@lebrownlow</a> they still haven&#39;t moved. <a href="http://t.co/31ZGlXjWsz">pic.twitter.com/31ZGlXjWsz</a></p>&mdash; Richard Wilson (@rwwilmington) <a href="https://twitter.com/rwwilmington/status/601459342601166849">May 21, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Look at this. If you can tell me exactly where these dudes move, I'll buy you a beer.

8. Scotty McCreery sang the National Anthem at a Mets game with Mr. Met (h/t @mikeryan).

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Scotty McCreery and Mr. Met, hell demons together at last. <a href="http://t.co/3uTGNxYEQz">pic.twitter.com/3uTGNxYEQz</a></p>&mdash; Mike Ryan (@mikeryan) <a href="https://twitter.com/mikeryan/status/600832202620932096">May 20, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Man, Scotty looked THRILLED to be hanging out with Mr. Met.

And now, for your moment of wrasslin'...
