After a few weeks off after our thrilling tournament of champions, the #goacc Moment of the Week returns to BTP, and lawdy y'all do we have a doozy of a first post to start up the next season. We also welcome the triumphant return of the Jim Ross BAH GAWD moment of the week as well. First, have to acknowledge the greatness of our #goacc champion, Frank Beamer, whose celebration of a 0-0 tie heading into overtime became one of the most iconic images of the football season. Honestly cannot wait to see if Beamer is going to be able to bring that level of #goacc when football season gets cranked up. Anyways, let's not waste any time and get down to business with our first #goacc vote of the new season - which is your #goacc Moment of the Week? Vote below!
1. Darren Rovell got owned on twitter by Seth Greenberg's daughter (h/t @pgberg).
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/darrenrovell">@darrenrovell</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/Follow24Hodge">@Follow24Hodge</a> Get some balls & mention your coworkers name, <a href="https://twitter.com/SethOnHoops">@SethOnHoops</a>, when tweeting about something you know 0 about.</p>— Paige Greenberg (@pgberg) <a href="https://twitter.com/pgberg/status/595249628859244546">May 4, 2015</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
This all started when Rovell started in on the narrative that former Virginia Tech coach didn't want Steph Curry on his team, which has plagued Greenberg much like the Russell Wilson narrative has plagued Tom O'Brien. Well, one of Greenberg's daughters was having none of that on twitter and hit Rovell with a Rock Bottom so hard that even Dwayne Johnson would be impressed.
Naturally, Rovell backed off:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Story about Steph Curry isn't really complete. He was offered a preferred walk-on spot at VT. Thinking was financially he didn't need $.</p>— Darren Rovell (@darrenrovell) <a href="https://twitter.com/darrenrovell/status/595254519757459456">May 4, 2015</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Steph Curry was in fact guaranteed a 4-year scholarship by VT if he redshirted his freshman year</p>— Darren Rovell (@darrenrovell) <a href="https://twitter.com/darrenrovell/status/595255965169098753">May 4, 2015</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Still though, Rovell is the absolute worst.
2. The University of Miami graduation commencement speaker is Jimmy Buffet, which might be the most Miami thing ever (h/t @SamWalkerOBX).
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Jimmy Buffett will give the commencement speech at the University of Miami this Friday: <a href="http://t.co/dudgeowtIr">http://t.co/dudgeowtIr</a></p>— Jimmy Buffett World (@BuffettWorld) <a href="https://twitter.com/BuffettWorld/status/595235282913501185">May 4, 2015</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Per the article:
UM’s announcement teases that Buffett “may or may not sing his advice.”
If someone doesn't get video of this, we have all failed.
3. The NFL Network's interview with Jameis Winston after he was drafted started a little strangely (h/t @martinrickman).
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="und" dir="ltr"><a href="http://t.co/X2dBKnJZtR">pic.twitter.com/X2dBKnJZtR</a></p>— martin rickman (@martinrickman) <a href="https://twitter.com/martinrickman/status/593977368277975040">May 1, 2015</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Uh......thanks? That's...cool I guess.
4. Staats Battle really likes Amedeo's (h/t @JamesCurle).
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Staats Battle: Fan of Amedeo's! <a href="https://twitter.com/SBattle_30">@SBattle_30</a> <a href="https://t.co/XtnZDu4Teb">https://t.co/XtnZDu4Teb</a></p>— James Curle (@JamesCurle) <a href="https://twitter.com/JamesCurle/status/592835222464548864">April 27, 2015</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Yes, yes it is fantastic.
5. The Charlotte Hornets had fun with Star Wars day and made PJ Hairston.....R2-D2? (h/t @Hornets).
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="und" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/goacc?src=hash">#goacc</a> <a href="http://t.co/7jVSzeYI7n">pic.twitter.com/7jVSzeYI7n</a></p>— Will Thompson (@thrillis4) <a href="https://twitter.com/thrillis4/status/595297444222599169">May 4, 2015</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
PJ-D2 just doesn't have the same ring to it. Probably plays really terrible defense too. Speaking of Star Wars day...
6. The Pack Football twitter account also had some fun with Star Wars day (h/t @PackFootball).
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">May the 4th be with you. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/obiwanjacoby?src=hash">#obiwanjacoby</a> <a href="http://t.co/x9yjtqiJA0">pic.twitter.com/x9yjtqiJA0</a></p>— NC State Football (@PackFootball) <a href="https://twitter.com/PackFootball/status/595217124286734336">May 4, 2015</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Of course, the first twitter reply was the most twitter reply ever:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Also, the first reply <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/goacc?src=hash">#goacc</a> <a href="http://t.co/RT4kS1B4bJ">pic.twitter.com/RT4kS1B4bJ</a></p>— Will Thompson (@thrillis4) <a href="https://twitter.com/thrillis4/status/595226683101306880">May 4, 2015</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Sigh.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/goacc?src=hash">#goacc</a> RT <a href="https://twitter.com/VT_alumni">@VT_alumni</a>: Hokie Quidditch on the Drillfield <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/VT4L?src=hash">#VT4L</a> <a href="http://t.co/5Ymn2DEAME">pic.twitter.com/5Ymn2DEAME</a></p>— #FreeAlvaroTor (@TeaBagPaulus919) <a href="https://twitter.com/TeaBagPaulus919/status/594959582579032065">May 3, 2015</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
.......Oh.
8. Raymond Felton's hilarious "injury." (h/t @bucketsNBA).
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-partner="tweetdeck"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Felton's injury sounds pretty serious. <a href="http://t.co/PycyFXUAtt">pic.twitter.com/PycyFXUAtt</a></p>— Kyrie Jordan (@BucketsNBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/BucketsNBA/status/592489337142398977">April 27, 2015</a></blockquote>
<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Never has an inadvertent misspelling been oh so appropriate.
And now, for your moment of wrasslin....
THE JIM ROSS BAH GAWD MOMENT OF THE WEEK!!
If you haven't been watching the NBA Playoffs so far (and you really should be), you likely missed former Duke player Mike Dunleavy getting absolutely leveled during the Bulls series clinching win over the Milwaukee Bucks. It called for some audio from our favorite wrasslin play by play man, and I answered that call:
