The #goacc Moment of the Week (9/23/2015)

The weekly in-depth look at the best (worst?) moments in ACC schadenfreude.

Y'all, if #goacc keeps up at its current pace for this year, we might all pass out. Last week, we had one of our highest turnouts ever, with close to 350 total votes ultimately deciding that the sad UVA bro was the runaway winner. Brace yourselves again, folks, because we've got another tremendous lineup for you to choose from this week here on BTP. And of course, as always our good friend JR is back with some of his legendary commentary. So let's get right down to it and vote - which is your #goacc Moment of the Week? Vote below!

1. LSU fans traveling to the Carrier Dome are concerned that Syracuse won't have enough booze (h/t @CBSSportsCFB).

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">LSU alumni group worried Syracuse might run out of alcohol <a href="http://t.co/Ty6vRQ0nPD">http://t.co/Ty6vRQ0nPD</a> <a href="http://t.co/z8mz3NqAN5">pic.twitter.com/z8mz3NqAN5</a></p>&mdash; CBS Sports CFB (@CBSSportsCFB) <a href="https://twitter.com/CBSSportsCFB/status/646321443802886144">September 22, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

LSU is bringing roughly 7,500 fans, and they're worried about a stadium that seats just shy of 50,000 people running out of alcohol? People in Louisiana must have livers made of steel.

2. Boston College's walk to the stadium gets interrupted by a Patriots fan truther (h/t @joeovies and stoolpresidente).

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/goacc?src=hash">#goacc</a> RT <a href="https://twitter.com/stoolpresidente">@stoolpresidente</a>: Welcome to Boston espn <a href="https://t.co/m05oQyXTEp">https://t.co/m05oQyXTEp</a></p>&mdash; Joe Ovies (@joeovies) <a href="https://twitter.com/joeovies/status/644998835329212416">September 18, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

HURRR DURRR MORTENSEN LIED FREEEEE BRADY oh wait it's Saturday...I'm in the wrong spot.

3. EA Sports has just given up, y'all (h/t @HoosierWolves).

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">NBA Live 16 Tyus Jones is not realistic <a href="http://t.co/mLcSNNoHim">pic.twitter.com/mLcSNNoHim</a></p>&mdash; Professor Big Tweets (@HoosierWolves) <a href="https://twitter.com/HoosierWolves/status/644962354954915840">September 18, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Good lord man, that isn't even close. To say nothing of the fact the hairstyle is off, they made his player model cross-eyed! That's outright pitiful, EA. But wait, they weren't done!

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Is this real??? <a href="https://twitter.com/NBA2K">@NBA2K</a>. I look like I just spent two weeks in Vegas without sleeping. <a href="http://t.co/NGdid5JWag">pic.twitter.com/NGdid5JWag</a></p>&mdash; JJ Redick (@JJRedick) <a href="https://twitter.com/JJRedick/status/645055753896767490">September 19, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

No wonder NBA2K is so much more superior. (It's also rather #goacc that Redick assumed incorrectly this player model was from 2K - it's actually from NBA Live 2016).

4. Some Seahawks fans have started a GoFundMe with the goal of breaking up Russell Wilson and Ciara (h/t @rwwilmington and @lebrownlow).

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-conversation="none" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">No way RT <a href="https://twitter.com/rwwilmington">@rwwilmington</a>: .<a href="https://twitter.com/lebrownlow">@lebrownlow</a> please say it isn’t so <a href="http://t.co/pI9lThBFZ5">http://t.co/pI9lThBFZ5</a></p>&mdash; Lauren Brownlow (@lebrownlow) <a href="https://twitter.com/lebrownlow/status/646383383015239680">September 22, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

#WelcomeTo2015, y'all. Only in today's day and age can a crowdfunding site be set up with the goal of breaking up a starting NFL quarterback and his girlfriend who also happens to be a recording artist. NFL fans take themselves way too seriously. I mean, good grief. Let's just move on before my head explodes.

5. GET TURNT UP MIAMI FOOTBALL!! (h/t @HuskerExtraBC).

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Gotta say: This guy is all in. <a href="http://t.co/ROBJeaUv2b">pic.twitter.com/ROBJeaUv2b</a></p>&mdash; Brian Christopherson (@HuskerExtraBC) <a href="https://twitter.com/HuskerExtraBC/status/645296146508857344">September 19, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Excuse me sir, you may need to pull up your pants a bit.

6. Dabo Swinney's dance party is BACK! (h/t @TroyMachir).

<blockquote class="twitter-video" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Oh god. Dabo is dancing. <a href="http://t.co/nffAEw39TW">pic.twitter.com/nffAEw39TW</a></p>&mdash; Troy Machir (@TroyMachir) <a href="https://twitter.com/TroyMachir/status/644708228945846273">September 18, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

A #goacc tradition unlike any other. But wait, we've got more from Troy from this game!

7. This Clemson fan can't even right now (h/t @TroyMachir).

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Your thoughts, m&#39;am? <a href="https://t.co/xjGa7MjvpL">https://t.co/xjGa7MjvpL</a></p>&mdash; Troy Machir (@TroyMachir) <a href="https://twitter.com/TroyMachir/status/644694964094509056">September 18, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Nothing more needs to be said. Everything about this vine is perfect.

8. The "Fire Al Golden" crowd is getting brutally honest (h/t @RodGilmore).

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Whoa! Pregame banners already flying re Al Golden at Nebraska vs Miami 3:30et abc/espn2. <a href="http://t.co/KkGGD4V2af">pic.twitter.com/KkGGD4V2af</a></p>&mdash; RodGilmore@espn (@RodGilmore) <a href="https://twitter.com/RodGilmore/status/645305271250735104">September 19, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Surprised it also didn't include some reference to Butch Davis on this as well.

9. This entry from the NCSU police blotter is hilarious.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Bowen Hall&#10;9/21 13:43&#10;Reprt of two sbjcts dressed as clowns cursing at individuals walking this location. Offcrs did not locate sbjcts.</p>&mdash; Police Blotter, NCSU (@blottbot) <a href="https://twitter.com/blottbot/status/646327245485830144">September 22, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

This would be the one instance where some sort of picture of vine would make this oh so much better.

10. Ryan Switzer goes up to get caught by a teammate...and nobody catches him (h/t @armstrongabc11).

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Still laughing at Ryan Switzer hoping to be caught by his teammate <a href="https://t.co/UGmTc7zpf5">https://t.co/UGmTc7zpf5</a></p>&mdash; Mark Armstrong (@ArmstrongABC11) <a href="https://twitter.com/ArmstrongABC11/status/646051791612837888">September 21, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

This is just spectacular, in oh so many ways. But ya know...I think something's missing from this. More on this in a second but for now...your moment of wrasslin'...

THE JIM ROSS BAH GAWD MOMENT OF THE WEEK!!

So first, good ol' JR tuned in to the most watched football game of the weekend, that being between Alabama and Ole Miss. Well, he too saw the Tide's QB Cooper Bateman get blown up, and, well, he was as taken aback as the rest of us:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Cooper Bateman gets obliterated, as called by Jim Ross! (Original vine by <a href="https://twitter.com/WillBrinson">@WillBrinson</a>) <a href="https://t.co/Y4sbYTlgfc">https://t.co/Y4sbYTlgfc</a></p>&mdash; Will Thompson (@thrillis4) <a href="https://twitter.com/thrillis4/status/645448315530805248">September 20, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

YEOUCH. That's going to sting for awhile.

So as I mentioned above, that vine of Switzer was missing something. Well, JR found some enhanced footage of that vine, and thought it should be shared:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Ryan Switzer gets an RKO OUTTA NOWHERE BAH GAWD!! (Original vine by <a href="https://twitter.com/ArmstrongABC11">@ArmstrongABC11</a>) <a href="https://t.co/hQC8G3PYsf">https://t.co/hQC8G3PYsf</a></p>&mdash; Will Thompson (@thrillis4) <a href="https://twitter.com/thrillis4/status/646088726146326529">September 21, 2015</a></blockquote>

<script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

See y'all next week!
