The #goacc Moment of the Week (3/2/2016)

The weekly in-depth look at the best (worst?) moments in ACC schadenfreude.

Damn, did we have a hell of a close vote last week. As of the time of this post, the ACC's US Capitol flub won by a mere 5 votes against an incredibly stacked field that contained a lot of entries I think we'll see in the upcoming Tournament of Champions! Moving on to our slate this week, I don't think y'all will have quite as tough of a choice, but we still have some amazing entries nonetheless. We're all gonna end with an absolutely absurd #suregrin winner, some fantastic photoshops, and of course a BAH GAWD. Let's get right down to the vote. Which is your #goacc Moment of the Week? Vote below!

1. Russell Wilson has created his own clothing brand.....sigh.

God almighty. Russell has seriously become the worst. But because I was curious, I went to thegoodmanbrand.com, and now I wish I hadn't. First, you're greeted with this:

That's some quintessential branding right there, folks. Next, from the About Us section:

WHY NOT YOU

We want to inspire people everywhere to do good. And we want to make it easy to get started. For each item you purchase, we’ll donate $3 to the Why Not You Foundation, which tackles big issues like childhood cancer, world hunger, and domestic violence. This is just the beginning.

Well that sounds great....until you see that the starting price for his shirts is $168. So if I were to order that shirt, plus a pair of shorts, and these suede Chuck Taylor wannabes, they'd be donating $9 from a $664 purchase. You'll forgive me if I'm not all that impressed, but apparently just above 1% of a purchase total qualifies as being a Good Man. Stick to drinking nanobubbles, Russell.

2. Dick Vitale took a selfie at the dentist (h/t @DickieV).

You know, part of me wonders if Vitale goes through every waking minute of his day screaming like he does on TV. "OHHHHH MY GOODNESS JOY, THAT WAS SOME AWESOME TEETH CLEANING WITH A CAPITAL A, BABY!"

3. Even the Powerade cooler hasn't survived this season (h/t @NCSUManagers).

If there was one symbolic image for this disastrous season, this is it.

4. This is the best NC State police blotter item yet (h/t @BlottBot).

The fact that a cop needed to be called to wrangle up a rogue chicken....I just can't, y'all.

5. Matt Lauer refuses to pick between NC State, UNC and Duke (h/t @WRAL).

If you've been living under a rock for the last month and a half, you might be wondering why Matt Lauer is on WRAL. Well, WRAL has switched to an NBC affiliate, and I'm sure sent up some t-shirts of the local schools as a gift. Y'all aren't pulling a fast one on Lauer like that, WRAL. He knows the deal.

6. That's definitely not Donald Williams, NCAA.

That is in fact Jawad Williams, who was nowhere near being on UNC in 1993. Good job, good effort though.

7. Rece Davis was not too happy about something during the GameDay broadcast at UVA (h/t @Deadspin).

Whew, some assistant producer messed up royally.

8. Duke's NCAA Compliance department decided to define a subtweet.

#WelcomeTo2016, y'all.

9. Dan Bonner has some thoughts about UNC.

Couldn't agree more, Dan.

the #suregrin award.

In case you missed the Oscars on Sunday, you probably didn't see this absolute dumpster fire of a tweet that I had to screenshot because the Internet never forgets:

Good grief.

The best photoshops of the week!

Got some fantastic edits this week, y'all. First, let's start with John's use of the Pokemon text generator:

That's just fantastic. Next, this from @RecordsAndRadio went viral all over the Internet:

The fact that this edit seems so subtle that you have to look twice to see it just shows how brilliant it is.

And now, for your moment of wrasslin'...

THE JIM ROSS BAH GAWD MOMENT OF THE WEEK!!

We head to the NBA this week, where poor Kevin Love fell victim to that damn Randy Orton. Take it away, JR (and King)!

Have a great week everyone!
