Well, glad to see this roller coster saga about will-he-or-won't-he come back is finally over and ending on a positive note. Today, Abdul-Malik Abu annoucned he his returning to NC State for the 2016-2017 season, and here is a clip of part of his press conference via @RCorySmith:

This as Akula touched on earlier just solidifies what now looks like a pretty strong lineup after the Omer Yurtseven commitment. The thought of Yurtseven and Abu down low......holy hell it could be a really fun season, y'all.
Here's the Fayetteville Observer's Bret Strelow with some more quotes from Abu's press conference:
Abu: "It was never my intent to scare you guys or cause a storm."

Abu on coming back: "This was something I couldn't turn away from, couldn't turn my back on."

Abu; I've never lost confidence in my coaching staff, my teammates, my program.

Abu said he normally wears a Boston hat, but he took it off for this.

Abu: If someone tells you your dreams are right there, are only 24 hours away, a few days away, you're going to take the time ....
— Bret Strelow (@bretstrelow) May 19, 2016
Abu: I feel like with another year of maturity ... I'll be able to more comfortably enter the draft.

Great stuff from Abu, who also posted the news to Instagram:
Also, there was an update on Lennard Freeman, who has had another surgery because of his nagging stress fracture:
Freeman had surgery yesterday. Had a 16-inch steel rod removed and a thicker rod inserted into his shin.

All looking like Freeman will be redshirting next season next season, which will hopefully give him time to get back to 100%.
