But then again, when isn’t it a big week for UNC State sports? This team just keeps competing hard and winning in various non-real fun facts. Got to love these kids’ hustle.
On Monday, the NCAA’s website confused NC State’s women’s basketball team with UNC. That’s some vintage UNC State action there. And then this happened during the telecast of a basketball game on a channel that is non-ironically called “TruTV.”

Ah yes, that good old 1982 Final Four in Albuquerque, where North Carolina beat Georgetown 63-62 in the Superdome. I’ll never forget that one. Big game for UNC State alum Michael Jordan who hit an important shot near the end of the contest.
Then we have this tepid and useless PR display from Barack Obama, who released his bracket picks for both the men’s and women’s tournaments. You can see his picks on the women’s side here, but just in case you don’t spot the problem, I have painstakingly outlined it below.

As you can see there is a clear error here, but it is all to the benefit of UNC State athletics, the finest brand of sports that this country has ever seen.
