One might have been disappointed after ProspectsNation ranked State's women's basketball class of 2019 20th. On November 27th, 2018, espnW Hoopgurlz ranked that same class 8th best-and-that is more in line with my thinking. State is ranked in order behind South Carolina, Maryland, Ohio State, Stanford, USC, Missiissippi State and Michigan State and ahead of number 11 Notre Dame, number 13 Duke, number 15 Louisville and number 16 Florida State. Finally, State's recruiting has caught up with the elite of the ACC although it has been very close for a number of recent years.

Here is a rundown on the class by the site:

Quickness is the hallmark of Wes Moore's standout class at NC State.

Jakia Brown-Turner, a 6-foot wing at powerhouse Bishop McNamara (Forestville, Maryland), brings instant cred to any campus. The No. 17 prospect averaged 19.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.9 steals as a junior and is looking forward to doing more of the same in the ACC. "I have the chance to challenge for playing time as a freshman and make an impact," she said. "Coach Wes Moore is great. I've developed a great relationship with him."

Jada Boyd, a 6-2 forward at Virginia's Appomattox County High School, also could make an instant impact. The No. 32 prospect in the class is quick, athletic and relentless.

Add in mobile post player Camille Hobby and high-motor point guard Kendal Moore, and this class could pull a fast one.

Further, State's women's team has been named the team of the week by NCAA.com. Some paragraphs from the article:

After moving up to the 13th spot in the latest Associated Press top-25 rankings tostart the week, North Carolina State lived up to the lofty ranking and improved its record to 6-0. The Wolfpack picked up wins against previously undefeated Michigan State and George Washington to claim the Riviera Division Championship at the 2018 Cancun Challenge at Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya.

The Wolfpack scored an impressive 78-74 victory over the Michigan State Spartans on Nov. 22 as four players scored in double figures while two (Kiara Leslie and Grace Hunter) registered double-doubles in the victory. Leslie scored 17 points and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds while Hunter recorded 16 and 11, respectively. Teammate Aislinn Konig added 16 and Erika Cassell chipped in 12 on 4-of-6 shooting and was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line.
