The ACC doesn’t have a team in the final four this season, but the league will still receive a lot of cash for its performance in the NCAA tournament. Helps when you get a bunch of teams in the field—and also when several of those teams make runs to the second weekend. Five league teams won at least once in the tourney, and four made it through to the Sweet Sixteen.
Here’s a look at how the current unit earnings compare across leagues, ahead of the Final Four.

Twenty-one units earned for the ACC means over $5 million in revenue that will end up getting split 16 ways (the league office gets its own slice of the pie, of course). The ACC will be the highest-earning league no matter what Kansas does in the Final Four.
Maybe the league folks consider it a disappointing year when nobody’s in the national semifinals, but the money’s good regardless.
