With NC State football on a short week this week, I’m going to keep the Participation Report short, too. I don’t have much to say about the Louisville game because I couldn’t watch it and I’ve only seen a few highlights.
OFFENSE

As you look down the snap counts, the Louisville game is probably the least substituted game for the offense this year. It looks like the RBs and RT were the only two positions really rotating. There is normally more rotation at WR but Hines, Lesane, Provillon, and Collins all got less than 5 snaps.
DEFENSE

Speaking of less rotation, only two CBs got snaps against Louisville - Senior Kishawn Miller and R-Fr Malik Dunlap. Jakeen Harris and Stephen Griffin also got significantly less snaps than usual.
REDSHIRT WATCH

The Redshirt Watch is the most interesting part of this week’s Participation Report. It looks like the coaches have a lot of tough decisions to make when it comes to playing time. Josh Harris and Dylan McMahon both hit the four game limit against Clemson and then didn’t play against Louisville. Jaylon Scott looked like a sure-fire redshirt, but has gotten significant playing time the past two games as the injury bug has suddenly hit the LB group. Now he is at the four game limit. Does he continue to fill in or does he also sit out to preserve the redshirt? Also, Shyheim Battle and Terrell Dawkins have both played on special teams the past couple of weeks. I would hope that the coaches wouldn’t burn their redshirts this year for a few special teams plays. Lastly, I want to welcome Timothy McKay to the Participation Report as he made his Wolfpack debut against the Cardinals.
