Now that we’ve had a little bit of time to let the Carolina game and the overall season settle a bit farther from our Emotional Take Zone, let’s get an idea about how folks are feeling about Dave Doeren.
Personally I’ve had a hard time coming to terms with this season and what it really says about Doeren’s prospects down the road. On the one hand, the injury bug was ridiculous, and there is enough talent coming back that 2019 could have been more aberration than anything. On the other hand, the scheme on both sides of the ball feels stale, and there was a concerning lack of player development this year.
I am certain that I want to see changes at the coordinator spots. And I think I’m fairly probably sure that I think I’m not ready to call for Doeren to be fired. But maybe not. How about you?
