It’s nearly March, which means it’s also nearly spring practice time. This, as I understand it, is the only major college sports thing that occurs in March. NC State has a legitimate quarterback competition to sort through for the first time in a while, and Dave Doeren also has a lot of new assistants ready to get acclimated.
There are some players banged up or still recovering from in-season injuries who will be out or limited during the spring. NC State provided a list on Tuesday:
Out For Spring Practice
TE Adam Boselli
FB Marquise Braxton
DT C.J. Clark
OT Gabe Gonzalez
RB Ricky Person
RB Damontay Rhem
Limited For Spring Practice
DT Larrell Murchison
LB Payton Wilson
Dave Doeren spoke at length Tuesday about Wilson, who is fully cleared to participate in football activities. Since Wilson is coming off of two major knee injuries, Doeren and his staff are going to be extra cautious getting him back up to speed. He’ll participate in some individual non-contact drills, but don’t expect to see him playing in the spring game.
