Week 4 Football: What to watch

Much better slate of games this week - and hopefully there will be better showings by ACC teams. Also, we finally get another college football Thursday night game after a two week hiatus. It is Houston vs Tulane, but the game should be entertaining (vastly more so than that dreadful Panthers-Buccaneers NFL game we had to slog through last week. And in case you actually have access to the NFL Network and still want to watch bad football, there’s a game Thursday night for you for that, too.

Friday offers a good match-up with Utah heading to Southern Cal. The FIU-Louisiana Tech game should also be entertaining, even if not the most crisp of football being played. Touchdowns are fun.

Saturday is really bringing the heat this week (well, aside from the ACC taking on another weak lineup), and we should all be thankful. Michigan-Wisconsin kicks things off at noon, and after that you have Auburn-Texas A&M for the marquee mid-afternoon game. Eli Drinkwitz and App State head down to Chapel Hill to take on Mack is Back TM while Louisville and Florida State also face off in the mid-day round of games.

Charge up your phones before you head into Carter-Finley so you can watch Oklahoma State @ Texas and/or Notre Dame @ Georgia while the Wolfpack romp over Ball State. For the late-nighters, Utah State @ SDSU should be a fun game to watch.

Also, send happy thoughts in advance to Charlotte’s football program... and maybe a gift basket or some Bojangle’s gift cards. Heating pads and “Get Well Soon” cards aren’t a bad idea, either.
