The Florida State Women's Basketball Team comes to Reynolds Coliseum on Thursday night for a game with State's women's team with tipoff at 6:00 p.m.

While this would be an important win for either team, it is more of a must win for FSU which already has two conference losses. Another loss for FSU, which is already in fourth place in the conference and has lost two out of their last four conference games with one loss at 8-7 Syracuse and one home loss to 13-3 Georgia Tech, might knock them to a four seed in Charlie Crème's bracketology. By the way Georgia Tech is a big surprise considering that they lost their two McDonald's All-Americans Elizabeth Balogun and Elizabeth Dixon when they transferred to Louisville.

FSU currently has a record of 15-2 overall and 4-2 conference. FSU's at this time warrennolan live RPI is 17; their ELO is 14; their SOS is 42; their quadrant 1 record is 4-1; and their current AP and Coach's Poll rankings are 13 and 13. FSU's best win was over 12th ranked Texas A&M, the only ranked team FSU has defeated.

On the other hand, State comes into Thursday night's game with a 15-1 overall record, a 4-1 conference record, an ELO of 12; a SOS of 92; and a 3-0 quadrant 1 record. State is ranked 9th in the current AP poll and 10th in the Coach's poll. State's best win was over number 20 Maryland, the only ranked team State has beaten.

FSU definitely has the size to match up with Elissa Cunane with inside players either starting or getting lots of minutes including six-two Kiah Gillespie, six-two Mo Jones, six-three Valencia Myers and first year player six-five River Baldwin. At one time a women's team having a six-five player was unusual, but not anymore. Seems almost every Power five conference team has a six-five player.

Scoring wise for FSU, Nausia Woolfolk is scoring 15.7 ppg shooting 463 from the floor while Kiah Gillespie is scoring 15.1 ppg shooting 438 from the floor. Neither Woolfolk nor Gillespie is shooting 40% from the arc. FSU as a team is shooting 473 from the floor and 355 from the arc. Sammie Puisis does shoot 432 from the arc and she does play 19.6 minutes per game; however she only scores 5.8 ppg.

Predictions, we love predictions. Warrennolan likes State 71-67. As a matter of fact, warrennolan at this time does not pick State to lose another regular season game! We will see. R1 likes State 71-67 with a 64% probability of a win while ELO likes State 72-66 with a 60% probability of a win. If this game were at FSU I would rate it a toss-up; however, with it being in Raleigh-well you know. We gonna win!
