3-star defensive end Zyun Reeves commits to NC State

Good pickup here

NCAA Football: Syracuse at North Carolina State Rob Kinnan-USA TODAY Sports

A very large man has just decided to play football at NC State. Dave Doeren picked up his 18th commitment of the 2021 class on Friday when 3-star defensive end Zyun Reeves made the call for the Wolfpack. Reeves has an impressive offer list, and he selected State over Florida State, Michigan State, South Carolina, and Virginia.

Reeves, a high 3-star who seems underrated as NC’s 39th ranked prospect, is another solid in-state pickup for the Pack, the 10th of the cycle. The Kernersville, NC native is a long, athletic pass rusher standing at 6’7. The potential is easy to see, although he’ll need to add size at the next level.

Reeves joins in-state product Travali Price to make a solid pair of defensive end prospects in the class, as Doeren continues to recruit the position well. Reeves also pushes State’s class to 6th in the ACC, tying Doeren’s highest finish. Despite perception and some early heartburn, 2021 now has a chance to be Doeren’s highest ranked class.
