After successfully avoiding a post-Clemson letdown loss and freshly coming off a bye week, NC State hits the road for just the second time this season - and the first time in ACC play. The Wolfpack will head north to Chestnut Hill to face a Boston College team that itself is coming off a bye week, in a game that will go a long ways to determining the eventual ACC Atlantic Division champion this year.
Despite winning two of the last three games at the venue, Alumni Stadium has been a veritable house of horrors for State since the Eagles joined the ACC. Over that span, the Pack has posted just a 2-6 record at Alumni Stadium, including some significantly lopsided losses.
Can the Wolfpack vanquish the Chestnut Hill demons of the past and pull out a significant road win? Or will a seemingly surging Boston College team add to the misery of State fans and strike a blow to the Wolfpack’s division title hopes?

Why is this so hard?
Prediction: 31-17 (W)
Comment: “Pack keep a one-score advantage throughout before sealing it with a 4th quarter pick and ground and pound TD drive.“
Prediction: 21-24 (L)
Comment: “Game is tied 14-14 at halftime, BC takes a 24-14 lead into the final quarter. State rallies late but comes up short on final drive.“
Prediction: 31-24 (W)
Comment: “The logical side of my brain says the Pack win 31-24. The scarred Wolfpack side of my brain says the Pack lose 20-24. If the offense shows up, the Pack win since the defense seems to be the most consistently good part of this team.“
Prediction: 34-23 (W)
Comment: “Show me that you can change, that you’re different this time, I’ve had my heart broken before. I think Pack dominate the run game but allows BC to hang around with big pass plays.“
Prediction: 28-24 (W)
Comment: “NC State’s rushing defense needs to be the difference, and I think it will be.“
Prediction: 26-29 (L)
Comment: “beep boop“
Prediction: 26-27 (L)
Comment: “State jumps out to an early lead, but settles for a bevy of short FGs to try and keep BC at bay and maintain the lead. That approach comes back to bite the Pack.“
Prediction: 24-21 (W)
Comment: “Against my better judgement historically I’m picking a win as we slow down the run game and force Grossel to throw too much leading to an INT or 2. Offense does just enough“
BTP Staff Cumulative Prediction: 28-24 (W)
