The N. C. State women's basketball team is looking to rebound from the loss to South Carolina Tuesday night by a score of 66-57 by beating Wofford Friday Night, November 7th. Not being among the undefeated teams so early in the season has to be disappointing to the team and its fans. After all State won their first 11 games in 2020-21; their first 14 games in 2019-20; and their first 21 games in 2018-19.

Wofford also comes into Friday night's game 0-1 having lost to College of Charleston 80-48 on Tuesday night. Wofford in the game against CofC started six-one junior forward Lilly Hatton, six-one senior forward Alexis Tomlin, five-eight senior guard Jackie Carman, five-eight senior guard Niyah Lutz and five-five freshman guard Reagan Rapert. Significant minutes off the bench for Wofford in the game against CofC were six feet senior forward Lawren Cook and five-seven sophomore guard Annabelle Schultz.

For the CofC game Hatton led Wofford in scoring with 12. Hatton shot 5-16 from the floor; 2-6 from the arc. Tomlin scored 10 shooting 4-7 from the floor. Tomlin also led Wofford in boards with 10. What really hurt Wofford was shooting 12.50 from the floor in the fourth quarter; however, the first and third quarters were not anything to write home about (29.41% and 28.57%).

This should be an easy win for State and hopefully fans will get to see six-five Sophie Hart, five-nine Aziaha James and five-eight Jessica Timmons.
