Women's soccer advances to the next round of NCAA tournament with a 2 - 0 win

Once again it was the one-two punch of Wohner and Joseph scoring for the Wolfpack, with some nice assists from Soto/Hall-Robinson on the first goal. South Florida was ranked #22 but the Pack was the dominate team in the match. The write up is here GoPack article. Key stat: 5 - 2 advantage in shots on goal. That shows that the Pack was able to maintain possession and limit the offense of South Florida. The next round will be hosted at FSU. The Wolfpack will be playing Pepperdine. Pepperdine is currently ranked #13 but has mainly played west coast teams so it is hard to say how they might compare with ACC competition. Their record is 16-3-1. Their losses include BYU and Santa Clara, who are ranked in the top 15.
