So how’s this thing gonna go?

The Wolfpack head down to Cowbell City, where the grass is green and the girls are... I don’t know? Waiting for some football? I can’t imagine there’s much else to do in Starkville, Mississippi.

Anyways, it’s a primetime, 7:00pm match up on ESPN2.

Can NC State go on the road and vanquish past SEC demons to pull off a win? Or will Mississippi State’s youthful air raid offense add to the misery for Wolfpack fans?

Each BTP contributor provides their score prediction below, plus a quick blurb on their predicted outcome. Here we go!

Comment: “beep boop“

JEOHankins2

Prediction: 28-31 (L)

Comment: “I genuinely consider myself one of the more Al Smith-adjace “Happy Warroris” when it comes to State, and while I believe we can win...night game, loud venue, against a wonky offense and our SEC futility doesn’t make me feel good going in“

Essad

Prediction: 37-31 (W)

Comment: “This will feel like a turning point for this team. Statement win setting up a potential 3-0 start leading into Clemson. (I definitely won’t regret this later)“

Why is this so hard?

Prediction: 37-34 (W)

Comment: “Late MSU TD S’s us S-less. But missed FG as time expires PWAPO (preserves win and proves otherwise).“

no23sports

Prediction: 38-27 (W)

Comment: “I feel like NC State should win this game, but I still have nightmares about South Carolina, the 2015 Belk Bowl, West Virginia... Predicting a win but SSUPO.“

PirateWolf

Prediction: 27-25 (W)

Comment: “MSU scores a TD late, but rather than the tie, Mike Leach goes for 2 and the lead. Leary guides a quick drive to set up a Chris Dunn FG for the W“

BTP Staff Cumulative Prediction: 31-29 (W)
