State's next opponent is Mount St. Mary's of Maryland. The game is to be played at Reynolds Coliseum on Sunday, November 13th at 2 p.m.
The game is an ACCNX broadcast which is a stream via the ESPN app. Last night in looking for the State Campbell game I noted some changes to this app. In the past I scrolled to the ACC network and looked at live games there. This time I found that State's game and others were shown as ESPN+ games. Thinking I should not have to subscribe to ESPN+ to watch ACCNX games, I proceeded to further research and scrolled to the ESPN, ESPN2... line to find a new icon for ACCNX games. ACCNX provided the link to the State Campbell game without ESPN+ subscription.
On to the game. State has played St. Mary's twice and won both times. The last game was played in December of 2014. State won 85-60.
St. Mary's is 0-2 losing to VaTech 101-45 and Richmond 87-44. Against Richmond, St. Mary's started five-seven graduate student Michaela Harrison, five-nine graduate student Natalie Villaflor, five -eleven sophomore Jo Raflo, five-five junior Jessica Tomasetti and five-eleven junior Isabella Hunt. Five-ten sophomore Jasmine Lindsay-Huskey played 17 minutes off the bench. The tallest players on the St. Mary's roster, Kemia Ward and Jaedyn Jamison, are only six-one, so matching up with State will be difficult to the max.
For St. Mary's the leading scorer is Michaela Harrison who averages 13.5 ppg shooting 385 from the floor and 316 from the arc. Natalie Villaflor is averaging 10 ppg while shooting 462 and 500 respectively-2 for 4 from the arc. Jo Raflo is the high volume arc shooter having hoisted up 12 in St. Mary's first two games hitting only 3 of those. Isabella Hunt is the leading rebounder for the team averaging 4 per game.
From WarrenNolan State's NET is 2, their RPI is 61, their ELO is 10 and their SOS is 136. State has played neither a quadrant 1 game nor a quadrant 2 game. St. Mary's NET is 243, their RPI is 61, their ELO is 206 and their SOS is 29. St. Mary's has played one quadrant 1 game against VaTech which they lost and one quadrant 2 game against Richmond which they also lost.
State is predicted to win by a score of 91-48 with a 100% chance of a win. On paper this looks like an easy win for State, but one never knows. No! This is an easy win for State.
Note that while State's early season schedule has produced a 136 SOS and no quadrant 1 or 2 games that is going to change very soon and very quickly-say at UConn on November 20th.
Again, Go Pack!
