WBB: 2023 Zoe Brooks Has Committed to State

Five-ten guard Zoe Brooks, a member of the 2023 class, has committed to State (way back in June-yikes-asleep at the wheel). Zoe is from Plainfield, New Jersey and attends Saint John Vianney High School. Hoopgurlz of ESPN women's basketball gives Brooks a Scout's Grade of 95 and four stars. Zoe is also ranked 33rd in her class.

NJSAA State Tourney-February 2020: Confident guard rebounds, handles and weaves through the defense in transition; physical to the rim, drives and makes plays to the rim; mid-range game threat moves to the arc; defensive disruptor. (Olson)

Blue Star Invitational-January 2020: Agile guard with versatility on the perimeter; manufactures shots, creates off the bounce, delivers in mid-range game; slices into the defense, draws contact and delivers at the stripe; 3-point game opportunist; rebounds and handles coast-to-coast in transition game. Notes 3rd-team All-State in 2020. placed Brooks on their 2023 elite watch list and gives her four stars. Further BlueStar Basketball ranks Zoe 21st in their 2023 class rankings.

Zoe joins six-five center Mallory Collier as a 2023 commit to State.

Brooks is one of the smoothest operators in the class. Her ball skill and ability to handle pressure and make plays is fun to watch. Brooks has seemed to have really invested in her fitness and it’s paying off as fatigue was not a thing in a long camp day.
