A swing and a miss

NCAA Basketball: Hall of Fame Series-San Antonio-N.C. State at Tennessee Daniel Dunn-USA TODAY Sports

Game Summary:

Tennessee is a very good team. They are predicted to win the SEC, and have played one of the more difficult schedules in the country.

The Pack kept this game fairly close, down 3 at the half, the game was tied at 60 with 7:00 minutes left, but the Volunteers slowly pulled away. They were up by 2 with 5:00 left, up 4 with 4:00 left, up 4 with 3:00 left, up 5 with 2:03 left. At the same time the Pack went on a 3:49 scoring drought. Unfortunate timing.

Looking at the team stats, shooting percentages were about the same, turnovers the same, fouls the same, the major differentiator was rebounds, Tennessee led by 9, 40-31. Unfortunately our leading rebounder, Diarra (6.1 Rpg), was not at his best tonight.
