Here in Week 4 the SB Nation college-blog wide top 25 may finally be going off the rails a bit—or at least, everyone seems to have an inexplicable appreciation for Michigan State. Utah is seven spots ahead of a USC team that beat the Utes already this season, and Cal is getting absolutely no respect for road wins at Washington and Ole Miss.
Anyway I can’t stare at that for too long, else I start getting angry at a poll, which does not matter in the least in college football.
Here now, your weekly BTP top 25, compiled from the ballots from this site’s voters only:
Clemson
Alabama
Georgia
LSU
Oklahoma
Ohio State
Auburn
Wisconsin
Florida
Notre Dame
Texas
Penn State
Oregon
Utah
Iowa
Texas A&M
Michigan State
USC
Boise State
Virginia
Washington
UCF
Michigan
Cal
Washington State

I didn’t even have Washington State on my ballot this week after they gave up 60+ at home in losing to a bad UCLA squad. I like that we’ve got Wisconsin a spot higher than everybody else, though (I have them sixth)—Michigan might have been overrated, but the Badgers have been dominant all year.
