It’s nearly noon on Saturday, and we have a modest eight more hours to wait until NC State plays football again. As usual, NC State is the marquee game of the night, and frankly, I’m getting tired of bailing out all of college football, which is always so desperate in its wailing, “we need NC State at 7:30 again this week.”
Ugh, the curse of being a name program in this sport, and one that’s good all the time. Fine, we’ll play one more 7:30 game, but this is the last time. Except for next week. And probably at least one more week beyond that one.
We have some more extended waiting to do, and this is unacceptable without the possibility of tailgating, but here we are. Does Indiana football help? Can that help? I don’t know, but I will find out.
