BTP The Offseason, Day 169: *crying* ... nice

Remember when you could go to football games and enjoy football games with some people around you, and beforehand you could loiter around some guy’s SUV for four hours? God, we were so young then. If only I knew it would end so abruptly.

NC State has nixed 2020 season tickets—it shouldn’t have taken this long, but you can understand where State is coming from if you picture someone clutching like $15 million in a sad, miserly fashion.

If there’s a football season, there’s no way that the games can be played at full stadium capacity. Some ACC schools have already set capacities at 20 or 30 percent, which frankly seems optimistic, but hey, good for them. Duke (adorable) and Syracuse already have announced there will be no spectators at their football games.

Most ACC schools are playing this thing by ear, and then there’s Miami, which is like “yeah, man, we’re going to only allow 13,000, which is totally a reduction of normal attendance, look at the sacrifice we’re making over here!” I’m just happy for these schools. Find your truth.
