NC State Players Receive Their College World Series Rings

USA TODAY Sports

NC State's College World Series run may have ended in disappointment, but just getting there was a heck of an accomplishment, and the players have some rings to show for it. Pretty nice rings, too:

Player's name and the Bell Tower on one side, State's record on the other:

These will be tough to top when NC State wins the College World Series in 2014, but I'm sure it can be done.

They should make class rings like this, except on one side it would celebrate that intramural football championship you won, the fact that you survived to earn an engineering degree, or whatever. Sure, they might be a little pricey, but I would be willing to sell a kidney for the opportunity to strut about town wearing one. I'd just walk around going nowhere in particular while subtly trying to spark conversations about it.
