NC State finds the bottom in series loss to Boston College

If there was a gimme series on the schedule, it was supposed to be Boston College, but things have gotten so bad that NC State couldn't even take care of business against the league's worst team. BC took the series with an extra-innings victory on Sunday afternoon. State has seven ACC wins, with four of them coming against the ACC's dregs. This is not a résumé of any sort, it is only sadness.

NC State would need to finish on an 8-1 run to get to .500 in league play, and yeah, that ain't happening. You can go ahead and stick a fork in this team. Well, a second fork. The first came in the form of that 10-game losing skid, but this one has an air of finality about it.
