Carlos Rodon has been on the DL for the majority of the 2017 season, and he wasn’t very good in his minor league rehab starts, and he wasn’t very good in his 2017 White Sox debut against the Yankees last week. He was exceptional in his second MLB start on Monday night against Oakland.

It’s probably going to take him some time to find his footing after being sidelined so long with an arm injury, and he’s gonna be inconsistent regardless, but on Monday he showed once again how electric he can be when he is even close to being at his best. And he wasn’t at his best Monday night, but he still struck out 10 on the way to his first major league win of the season.
It’s just good to have Carlos Rodon Day back; it’s been far too long a wait. Keep on cookin’, son, it is in the spirit of the July 4th holiday, after all.
