NC State released the schedule for the 2019 Wolfpack baseball team, a schedule that is sure to provide plenty of tests and an overall increase in difficulty versus what the team faced last year.

In ACC play, four of the ten conference series are against heavy weights Florida State (finished last year ranked #11 in RPI), Louisville (#21), Clemson (#13), and UNC-Chapel Hill (#5). Additionally, the Wolfpack have conference series scheduled with Miami (#65), Virginia (#83), and Wake Forest (#71), three teams who are sure to bounce back after having down years in 2018. The other three ACC series are against Pittsburgh (#108), Boston College (#172), and Notre Dame (#102).

The Clemson and UNC-Chapel Hill series make up the last six games of the regular season.

Outside of ACC play, there are a couple big highlights on the schedule. The Wolfpack will be playing in the ‘Baseball at the Beach’ tournament/shindig/soiree hosted by Coastal Carolina. As part of that event, NC State will take on Kent State (#59), Michigan State (#193), and Coastal Carolina (#25). The Wolfpack will face off with Coastal Carolina again later in the year in a home game at Doak Field at Dail Park.

Additionally, the Wolfpack will host Minnesota (#12) for a three game series in early March. Minnesota is one of four teams on NC State’s schedule who advanced to the 2018 NCAA Super Regionals, with the other three being UNC-Chapel Hill, South Carolina (#27), and Tennessee Tech (#16). The South Carolina game will be a mid-week game at BB&T Ballpark in Charlotte, while NC State will host Tennessee Tech in another mid-week affair in late April.

The 2019 season kicks off on Friday, February 15, with the first game of a three-game home series against Bucknell (#214).
