BTP The Offseason, Day 71: Hit us with your favorite baseball memories

What’s your favorite baseball memory from a game you attended? Did you ever see a milestone of some kind? Did Bartolo Colon hit a home run while you were there? Maybe you saw a triple play, or a then-unknown player break out? It doesn’t have to be a defining moment in the grand scheme of a single season—could be something small, something entirely random.

Sometimes it’s a journeyman hitting a top-nine grand slam in Baltimore in July. That one is at the top of my list because there’s something a little extra memorable about a bizarre baseball event that you encounter in person, no matter what that might be, but especially when it involves your favorite team.

NC State hosted a regional in 2003 but played it in Wilson because Doak Field was being renovated, and that’s the most fun I’ve ever had watching Wolfpack baseball, and man was that team good. A quick 3-0 run out of a host regional is exactly what you want and that’s what we got. Good road trip to visit with a bunch of friends an hour down the road.
