You gotta be kidding me.

UPDATE: The game is on, set for 3:07 p.m. ET. As for who is still available for NC State...

Looks like no Tyler McDonough and Jose Torres, at least, in addition to JT Jarrett. Maybe no Terrell Tatum or Luca Tresh either.

NC State and Vanderbilt are not on the field for their 2 p.m. ET matchup, and the reason for that is a positive COVID-19 test that at the very least is going to delay the start of the game, and at worst, will put an end to NC State’s season.

Someone or someones on the Wolfpack tested positive today, and as of this moment we don’t really know what the hell is going on. But neither JT Jarrett nor Evan Justice are at the ballpark, per the folks at the scene. This is all NC State is saying at the moment:

This is rather surreal and not the least bit heartbreaking. I’m guessing that they’re sorting through protocols and trying to figure out the contact tracing part of it before they make a decision one way or the other.

Stay tuned, I guess. I might go cry. Haven’t decided yet.
