Box Score (pdf)
We got what we needed tonight--a game that NC State controlled from start to finish, and a decisive victory. T.J. Warren scored the first bucket of the game in a sign of things to come, and the Seminoles would never lead. The Pack took a 10-point edge into halftime, and FSU would never get any closer. That was a refreshing change, to say the least, from all the stress this team has had to endure in league play this year.
When Florida State closed to within 10 with about seven minutes to play, there was Warren to hit a three to ease fears and extend the lead back to 13. The last six-and-a-half minutes belonged to him: he scored 12 points over that time to help close out the Seminoles.
Warren had answers for everything tonight, and his hustle on the boards helped the Wolfpack dominate the glass. He finished the night with eight offensive rebounds and five defensive boards. Florida State went like the first 15 minutes of the game without an offensive rebound, which is just nuts. Especially since NC State has kinda made defensive rebounding optional for long periods of time this year.
Calvin Leslie had himself a day as well, though it was typically turnover-plagued. But that is the nature of the Calvin--there will be silly giveaways, and then there will be this:
And now for tonight's internet champion...me! I couldn't have done it without me.
