Georgia Tech continues to play good defense--only Miami and UVA have been better in league play--but Tech also continues to be terrible at the offensive end. In ACC games, the Jackets are averaging about 0.91 points per possession, which as you can see above is a function of their being bad at pretty much everything.
But they've managed to have some good offensive performances at home--they've actually only averaged more than a point per possession three times in league play, and all three came in Atlanta. Still, it's not likely that a shooting barrage is going to doom NC State in this one. Georgia Tech can turn it into an ugly affair with its defense, and that's what we're most likely to see if this ends up a losing effort for the Wolfpack.
Let's not go there, though. Let's just win by 20 and move on. Agreed? Agreed.
The Pomeroy Predictor likes NC State by two.
