And now for today's welp:
Per conversation w/@txboysbasketbal, Julius Randle is no longer considering Oklahoma and N.C. State. That leaves 4: UK, KU, Texas & UF.
— Adam Zagoria (@AdamZagoria) March 6, 2013
Is that true? Possibly! I have no idea who is behind that @txboysbasketbal account, so it's tough to know what exactly to make out of this. Zagoria is normally pretty reliable.
NC State could still use more tall people on the roster so this is obviously a major bummer if accurate. Randle is one of the top 10 players in the class of 2013 and would have had an immediate impact. But it's tough to pluck a kid from Texas away from the Longhorns and Kansas, not to mention the added competition from John Calipari and Billy Donovan.
Randle, who has been added to the McDonald's All-American Game, will make his college choice on March 20. He says he hasn't yet figured out where he wants to go to college. But I guess he knows where he doesn't want to go to college. [sad face]
