Cat Barber Suffers Concussion In Practice

Dangit.

USA TODAY Sports

Cat Barber's brief NC State career is off to a bit of a rough start--first there was the foot injury he suffered, and on Wednesday he suffered a concussion in a collision with TJ Warren during practice. He is officially day-to-day, per NC State's release:

Barber, a McDonald's All-American last year out of Newport News, Va., is being held out of practice and is being evaluated under NC State's concussion protocol within the supervision of the school's athletic training staff and team physicians.

(Oh, and NCSU says Warren is fine.)

Barber should be okay by the start of the regular season, but this is going to cost him some important practice time, to say the least. He might begin the season a little behind the curve as a result, which is obviously something that would hurt us early.

I hope you've gotten all the bad luck out of your system, Cat.
