The ACC's basketball schedule is beginning to take shape--dates and times haven't been announced, but we do now know which conference foes NC State will face twice and which it will face once. With the addition of three new schools, everybody plays four home-and-homes. Here's what is ahead for NC State next season:
Home & Homes: UNC, Pittsburgh, Miami, Wake Forest
Home Only: Virginia, Florida State, Maryland, Georgia Tech, Boston College
Road Only: Syracuse, Notre Dame, Duke, Clemson, Virginia Tech
And now it's beginning to set in just how much tougher this league will be. Road trips to UNC, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Notre Dame, and Duke? Yikes. All five finished in the top 35 of the Pomeroy Ratings and three finished in the top 15. All of those home-only games come against teams that could be better, the Noles especially, if they manage to land Andrew Wiggins.
So this could end up being a lot of fun. Or just completely horrifying.
