The full hoops schedule is out, though some tip times and television information remains undetermined in the non-conference portion of the slate. What we do know so far: 22 games will be televised, at minimum, including all 18 league games.
Every North Carolina State ACC contest is to be carried live on television. The Pack is slated to have 22 games broadcast on ESPN's family of networks, including seven contests on ESPNU. All conference games carried on an ESPN network will also be available on WatchESPN. Eight of NC State's ACC games will be carried on the ACC Network. All conference games carried on the ACC Network or a regional sports network will also be available on ESPN3.
The Wolfpack will open its ACC schedule with a home game against Pittsburgh at noon on Jan. 4. That's followed by a road trip to Notre Dame, so we'll be greeting the new guys early. Those first five games could be rough on State considering four will be against NCAA tournament-caliber teams and two of those (ND, Duke) are on the road.
The Carolina Hurricanes will pretty much have PNC Arena to themselves in February, when State plays on the road five times in six games. That stretch includes winnable trips (Virginia Tech, Clemson, Miami) but there are also games at UNC and Syracuse.
Predictions? I say four losses, tops.
