NC State's coaching staff has been working hard to add another guard to the roster since the end of the 2013-14 season, and they finally have their man. West Virginia transfer Terry Henderson committed to State on Tuesday, per multiple sources.

Henderson took visits to both Maryland and Richmond; he was in Raleigh for a visit with the Pack last weekend. He is the fourth guard transfer that Mark Gottfried has brought into the program after Alex Johnson (Cal State Bakersfield), Ralston Turner (LSU), and Trevor Lacey (Alabama).
Since he's not a graduate transfer, Henderson must sit out the 2014-15 season but will have two years of eligibility left after that. He should see significant playing time immediately since both Turner and Dez Lee will be gone after this season, leaving the 2015-16 rotation at guard to look something like this:
PG: Cat Barber / Lacey (?)
SG: Lacey / Henderson
Henderson averaged 11.7 points per game last season and hit 37.6% of his three-point attempts. His advanced-stat line last year was similar to Turner's, and like both Turner and Lacey, Henderson brings with him a solid two-year track record of production with a power-conference school.
