Charlotte transfer Torin Dorn didn't commit to NC State during his visit to Raleigh, but he apparently saw enough to decide he won't be going to Texas or Florida. Those two schools have been cut from his list, according to Pack Pride, leaving NC State and Miami as the remaining candidates.
Dorn is visiting the U today, and I can't imagine a decision will be far behind. Like Mark Gottfried, Jim Larranaga has done well to keep his program on solid footing. Both Angel Rodriguez (KSU) and Sheldon McClellan (Texas) came to Miami after stints in the Big 12, and the Canes have another transfer from Texas coming eligible this season.
Rodriguez and McClellan graduate following the 2015-16 season, leaving plenty of room for Dorn to step right in once he's eligible. So both schools have immediate playing time to offer as enticements, and we'll have to hope that proximity to home makes the difference.
