NC State offers two more 2016 big men

Dylan Painter and Mamadi Diakite have been tendered this week.

2016 big men Mamadi Diakite and Dylan Painter both added NC State offers to their list this week. They became the tenth and eleventh post players to receive offers from NC State in the class of 2016. Diakite, who checks in at 6’9" 205, is rated four stars by Rivals.com and ranked thirtieth nationally in the class of 2016. Aside from the Pack, the St. George, Virginia resident has been tendered by Baylor, USC, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Washington, and Oklahoma State. State will have to play catch up here, as Diakite has reportedly already taken officials to USC, Washington, and Virginia, with the latter holding a lead for the talented forward. As far as his game goes, Diakite is a super athletic, high motor post player, but will need time to develop an offensive game.

Hershey, Pennsylvania’s Dylan Painter was the first of the two to get offered this week. He caught the eye of the coaches while they were in South Carolina for the Nike Peach Jam. Painter is unrated on Rivals, but his offer list is quite extensive, including the likes of Xavier, Iowa, Clemson, Northwestern, and twenty or so more. The 6’10" post man has officially been to Iowa and Xavier, and the Pack will battle for one of his three remaining officials. Painter is a floor stretcher who describes himself as a player that can battle down low, but can also pop outside and knock down threes.
