Kevin Keatts’ quest to add another guard/wing for 2018 continues, and the latest target is former East Carolina commit Mike Wynn, a 6-6, 200-pound prospect from Charlotte. Wynn signed with ECU in the fall but asked for his release following the Pirates’ coaching change.
He’s a class of ‘18 prospect, and will be eligible as a freshman this fall.
Wynn didn’t have a lot of high-major interest the first time around, but that is no longer the case: in addition to NC State, South Carolina, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, and Ole Miss have started recruiting him. Funny what happens when the season ends and major-conference schools end up with holes in their rosters because of attrition.
Wynn is a consensus three-star recruit ranked No. 390 overall and No. 22 in North Carolina.
