Kentucky big man Sacha Killeya-Jones is a former top-25 recruit and he’s back on the market after a couple of seasons with the Wildcats. Six ACC schools have made his top 10: NC State, UNC, Wake Forest, Pittsburgh, Clemson, and Notre Dame. Georgetown, Texas, Arizona State, and Nevada are also in the mix.
The outstandingly-named Killeya-Jones couldn’t crack the Kentucky starting rotation in his two years there and averaged only 13.7 minutes per game in 2018. He’ll sit out this upcoming season and will have two seasons of eligibility remaining after that.
He averaged 3.3 points and 2.9 rebounds per game as a sophomore and was an effective scorer in the paint, connecting on 59.2% of his twos. He’s also an excellent offensive rebounder and a solid shot-blocker.
The one-time UVA verbal was ranked as the No. 23 prospect in the class of 2016 by the 247Sports composite. I’m gonna go ahead and guess that UNC will be difficult to beat for the Chapel Hill native.
